YUMMY FOOD IN SAN TELMO Dec 07, 2008
This is such a cool place to eat. what cought my eye was you can eat on the second floor with the view of the market area of san telmo. there are many american icon history inside. where we sat there is poster of a topless madonna.
i had a steak sandwich which was very good and tender. i enjoyed the ambience very much. it was was crowded place. i like to people watch in restuarants. the srgentinean people appears to be socialible and happy people. For all you live music lovers who have had enough of "rock nacional," check out Todo Mundo! on Plaza Dorrego. They feature Latin, Cuban, and Flamenco, along with some jazz and blues, seven nights a week starting at 10pm. The exposed brick walls are adorned with old French liquor posters and black and white prints of classic movie stars like Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe. The sexiest picture of Madonna ever taken (I'm confident to say) might draw your attention away from the stage. Situated on the ground floor of a house that must be well over 100 years old, Todo Mundo! feels aged without being shabby (a distinction you don't find all that often in San Telmo bars). Enthusiastic patrons dance a sort of broken salsa on the small floor in front of the stage. The Greek salad and fried mozzarella are good choices for food, and check out the bathrooms upstairs before you leave; you'll be impressed. Part of the ANTARCTICA & ARGENTINA 2008 travel blog |
