Toa Toa Chinese Restaurant Sunrise Reviews
Authentic dim sum. Jul 21, 2009
Since I am half Asian, I tend to be super picky when I eat out - be it Japanese, Thai, or Chinese. If any of you have ever had dim sum, you know its awesome. And you know its hard to find a place that does it right, especially in South Florida. Toa Toa is about as good as you can get down here, since Florida really doesn't have a "Little Chinatown" area like New York or DC.
My family and friends usually treat ourselves to this place once a month. You walk in, they seat you, and give you the dim sum menu and a regular menu. You just check off what items you want and how many of each. The list is too long to name everything.
We check off like 15-20 items and order two or three main entree dishes. All the stuff is served family style, so the table tends to get a little crowded. The staff brings out the main entrees and 2-3 dim sum dishes. Then as those are done, they bring out 2-3 more till the rest f your order is filled. A bill for 6 with three entrees and 16 dim sum items is almost $100, which is not bad at all. The food here is awesome. If it keeps my mother quiet while she's eating, its pretty damn authentic :-)
