Fun little area :) Jun 19, 2009
Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-lockey-pockey)is a fun little area full of galleries, restaurants, and spa services. It is beautiful and designed in a way that reminds me somewhat of Italy, yet with other influences as well. There is a sculpture garden, including many different Buddha statues. The restaurants here are expensive, but excellent. There is a great candy shop called How Sweet it Is that had a great dark chocolate and raspberry truffle. The galleries have some interesting artwork, and the spa is a great place to get a massage if you are able to afford it. It is great for travelers on a budget as well, as it is a nice place to window shop and stroll around for a few hours. There are many fountains and plants. A nice, relaxing place to hang out.
