Tlaquepaque Overview

Tlaquepaque is a shopper's paradise, a full lively community just outside Guadalajara.
Arts and crafts are plenty, carved wood furniture, hand-stitched clothing and a rainbow of colorful ceramics.

In June of each year, Guadalajara's most beautiful museums hosts an annual ceramics competition, bringing artist from all over the area together.

The many pedestrian-only streets makes this a good place to take a walk, even if you're not interested in all the crafts for sale. It can be touristy, but many out of the way cafes can be found for some peace in between shopping.

If you still have energy left at the end of the day, you will find live music and other nightlife available in Tlaquepaque.

Some attractions are: Templo Parroquial de San Pedro Apóstal, Museo Regional de la Cerámica and the Museo del Premio Nacional de la Cerámica Pantaleon Panduro.
