Relive the myth of the legendary luxury cruise ship Titanic! Nov 01, 2011
Who doesn't know the story about the maiden voyage of the giant luxury liner Titanic, that so tragically ended in the dark and ice cold waters of the atlantic ocean?

Ever since the 1997 movie "Titanic" starring Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet everybody knows that sad tragic story.

I was really lucky to be able to see the Titanic Artifact Exhibition at the ArtScience museum at the MBS, Singapore, as the exhibition arrived there just 3 days earlier. Apparently, this is a moving exhibition and will be in S'pore until end of April, 2012.

The Exhibition features 275 genuine artifacts as well as recreations and many personal stories of the people who traveled on the ship.

So most of the artifacts are not only displayed there, but there's also a story to the person who owned this particular item. Very interesting!

There are also some gorgeous recreations, like the famous Grand Staircase.

All this really let's you travel back in time.

It was a unique experience and I highly recommend going there if you happen to be in Singapore the next few month!

You can combine this very well with a visit of the MBS Casino, shopping mall (Check out the food court in there, it's really good!!) or go up the skypark on rooftop of the hotel complex.

If you are a party of four, you can get discount on the ticket, so instead of paying 24SGD for the Titanic exhibition only, I got a combined Titanic/Dali ticket for only 20SGD.

I'm not sure how long the Dali exhibition will be there, but I would also recommend going there.

Oh, and you're not exactly allowed to take pictures at all! ;)

One would think there will be plenty of Titanic tributes/exhibitions around in 2012 since it marks the centennial of the sinking. This one looks good. It does seem there are a few of this particular one touring around. Good review, I didn't know about it either.

I think it's not the only Titanic exhibition around...
Also, I think there was one in Wiesbaden in 2009
