Timpuy Buffet Restaurant Machu Picchu Reviews
A restaurant at the entrance of Machu Picchu - Tinkuy Buffet Restaurant Dec 12, 2008
Daily lunch buffet for guests of the Lodge and visitors to Machu Picchu. It offers a variety of international and Peruvian dishes.
They have a nice selection of appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts.
The appetizers include the famous cebiche, grilled peppers, salmon mousse, etc.
You can find different fresh salads, including the solterito, a regional salad that has lima beans, corn and cheese.
There are different main courses, like pasta, fish, beef and also pork, which is very tender. As side you can find rice, veggies and mashed apples.
Also you will find different sauces and gravies for your dish. One of the sauces is made with passion fruit which gives the veggies a delicious taste.
The desserts are delicious too, so save some space for them. You can find fresh fruit, rice pudding, brownies, passion fruit cheesecake, mango mousse and other cakes.
The buffet includes all the soft drinks you can have and also hot beverages, like coffee, coca tea or other teas.
The atmosphere is nice. But since it’s a buffet, it can be a bit noisy with a lot of people walking. Therefore there are musicians who play from time to time to entertain the people.
The staff is helpful and they are always looking if you need anything else. Not even after 30sec you finish your meal, a waiter may come to pick up the dishes and change your fork and knife :)
