Tilburgse Kermis Reviews
The best party you'll ever have Jul 25, 2009
Tilburg may not be very pretty, or interesting for tourists, but every summer Tilburg has an event that's worth visiting. It's called the 'Kermis', which means fair. This Kermis is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe, has all the best rides and attractions, and comes with a festive atmosphere that cannot be topped.
Rides and drinks are quite expensive, but it's also great fun to just walk around and watch the attractions and the people.
It lasts for ten days and starts every summer by the end of July. Take note that the Monday evening in these ten days are called 'Pink Mondays'. This means the theme of that night is 'Gay Festivities'. Through the years it has grown that everybody dresses up in pink and has a party, whether you're gay or not.
The dates for the Tilburgse Kermis for the next years are:
2010: 16 to 25 July
2011: 22 to 31 July
2012: 20 to 29 July
2013: 19 to 28 July
2014: 18 to 27 July
2015: 17 to 26 July
2016: 22 to 31 July
2017: 21 to 30 July
2018: 20 to 29 July
2019: 19 to 28 July
2020: 17 to 26 July
