"iguana" tour with "tucan travel." we started in cancun and went through, belize, guatemala, honduras, back to guatemala, and endend in Antigua guatemala. this tour was exellent, met alot of great people, any saw soo many breathtaking places.

We arrived in Tikal on the 14th and stayed at the ruins at the Jaguar Inn.  I almost wasted my 50 quetzal ticket to the ruins by trying to wait out a rainstorm that never arrived, but they let us in right before closing so we got to see the main plaza without the hot sun and hordes of tourists…

After celebrating a low-key New Years in the Jungle, we signed up for the day-tour to Tikal, in northern Guatemala.  It was better than I ever expected.  We had lunch at a small restaurant on a lake a few miles south of the site.
