I spent two weeks in Guatemala studying spanish. I went by myself and had a great time, staying with a Guatemalan family, walking around Xela, even fitting in a trip to Tikal to see the Mayan pyramids. What a beautiful country!

I booked a Spanish course in Antigua, Guatemala. I love the Spanish language. So I hoped that I would do better picking up the language in a Spanish speaking country - I had a 2 week course! The family I was staying with was great and after all I managed to speak some Spanish.....
