I spent two weeks in Guatemala studying spanish. I went by myself and had a great time, staying with a Guatemalan family, walking around Xela, even fitting in a trip to Tikal to see the Mayan pyramids. What a beautiful country!

Guatemala was the most memorable trip so far! I'm not convinced the country is really ready for tourism yet.

I spent two great weeks in Guatemala this past summer with some friends of mine.

Christmas week 2007 - After dropping in Guatemala City and Antigua, I headed north to see the jungle and Tikal.

I definitively have to write about this trip. What a tour! I went with my brother, he wanted to see El Salvador & Honduras & I Guatemala & Mexico/Yucatan & both Belize! I never had that many warnings for a trip ever! Don't do this don't do that!

I booked a Spanish course in Antigua, Guatemala. I love the Spanish language. So I hoped that I would do better picking up the language in a Spanish speaking country - I had a 2 week course! The family I was staying with was great and after all I managed to speak some Spanish.....
