It was a fantastic snowboarding trip as a part of my third year of university. Tignes is a superb skiing/boarding destination with lots of large tracks.

Went skiing in Espace Killy (Tignes and Val d'Isère), France.
Nice skiing area with 300km slopes. Endless après ski. I prefer the ski slopes of Val d'Isère (less artificial)...

Tignes, France -› Chamonix, France -› …
I think there is only one place you can go and ski in Europe and that's france !!
I travelled from village to village and these are my favourites :
- chamonix, old fashion high class
- val thorens, great for boarding and partying
- les deux alpes, small but friendly
- avoriaz, more family type of village
if your dutch : go with sportura it's cheap and in the middle of town. they've got great bars aswell.

Val d'Isere, France -› Tignes, France -› …
In 2005 I took 6 months off work and went to work for a well-known UK ski company in the beautiful resort of Val d'Isere, France.
I'd never skied or boarded before, but figured this would be a good way to learn. I badgered, cajoled, threatened and tricked 2 of my good mates from home to come too.
I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did - we are still talking at any rate!
