Tiger Tims Place Budapest Reviews
Hottest Spot in Town Jun 19, 2011
We found out about Tiger Tims Place from some girls we met in Prague who told us to stay there and so we booked a 3 bed room. The place was a great find and tons of fun. First off it is a bit hard to find but we were coming from the bus station, if your coming from the train station it's right across the street so no prob. It's actually on the third floor of a building that seems to have everything going on in it- apartments, wedding dress place, and a hostel. The rooms are cleaned everyday and you can't say that for too many hostels. Our room had it's own bathroom and it was quality but I also checked out the community ones and they were straight. The dorm is big and has high ceilings so you don't feel crowded. The common area is all good and so is the kitchen. The real positive about the place is that everyone gets together and parties then an employee or two will lead the group out on a pub crawl. We took part every night and had wild nights that made Budapest that much better. When you arrive they also give you all the Budapest intel you could possibly need and can take care of anything you need arranged or ticket purchasing. Although they do not push anything on you which is really nice. If you do not like to party this might not be the place for you or it might bring you out of your shell. Either way I can't imagine there is a better place in Budapest for your holiday- I say do it.

Nice hostel, central to all the tourist attractions. Oct 31, 2010
The hostel is located about an 8-10 minute walk (if that) from Nyuagati train station. Although keep your eyes peeled, as it is quite easy to walk straight past it. It was kind of late in the evening with not much light and i couldn't see a sign for the hostel.
There is a buzzer nearby on the door which you have to press to get through to the owner of the hostel.
Tim, the Irish fella that runs the hostel, is a friendly, down to earth person that enjoys travelling just as much as the backpackers staying there and has quite good knowledge of the attractions of the city.
The hostel rooms are very spacious with a lot of room as well as being very tidy and clean with lockers provided. The same can be said for the bathroom and toilets. They have a very modern look and are kept in good order.
The hostel is quite a mix, it definitely has all the tools to have a bit of a party atmosphere as well as having a quiet one too. He has 2 laptops for people needing internet access. The only thing that i could say that might work against the hostel slightly, is that the kitchen is quite small and cramped, but everything is provided if you are needing to cook a meal.
Overall, i would stay here again should i travel into Budapest at some point in the future.
