Tiger Safari Resort Sawai Madhopur Reviews
Could be better Aug 25, 2010
When we went to Ranthambhore national park it was off-season, as such there were only two rooms occupied at the Raj Palace resort.
The staff was clearly off-season too, as they were far from friendly or helpful. Well, maybe they weren't unfriendly, but let's just call them completely indifferent. Quite a nuisance, since we were basically stuck to eat our meals here during the two days of our stay since nothing was open in the village.
Our room was old and worn. It was clean enough though, just old. For some very weird reason the hot water pipes in our bathroom were cut. Not only did this mean that we only had cold showers, it also meant that if we accidentally opened the hot water tap (and let's face it, who wouldn't?) the entire bathroom would be flooded.
Mind you, even with a cold shower there would be water coming out of a pipe underneath the sink, so the bathroom would flood, no matter what what you did.
It's a pity, because the hotel *could* be very nice. I mean, the setting is wonderful, with all rooms in small buildings set in a beautiful green garden.
