Tianan Rega Hotel Beijing Reviews
Amazing location...(!!!) Mar 30, 2015
I spent my first 4 nights in Beijing at Tianan Rega Hotel.
From all my trips in the past, maybe i had the better accuracy as reference location....perfect 101%....!
Tian'Anmen square is only 3 minutes far away from this hotel!
From hotel entrance, the walls of the Forbidden City are only 70-80 meters far away. In a giant city as Beijing, is very important to book a hotel room, very close to city center, or few meters from an underground station. Of course, Tian'Men metro station is only 2 minutes far away from hotel.
One block far away or 2 minutes walk, is the most famous pedestrian road in Beijing, with malls, restaurants, etc...
Reception stuff are very helpfull and polite. Their english are poor, but they are hardworking and try to serve you in every way...On reception desk i had the opportunity to change money whenever i wish....Generally in Beijing almost all hotels have exchange for the foreigners.
Left from hotel entrance is the breakfast area. I paid 1332cny or 198euro for 4 nights (service taxes 15% and breakfast not included in my booking). Breakfast costs 88cny or 13 euro extra.
Few meters from the reception is a small office that you can arrange some tours. I paid my Great Wall daily tour there.
My room was small but very warm. Fridge was out of order, but don't care, because the weather was very cold, so i drunk my bottles of water in preparation temperature. Οpposite of my bed was a large Tv, but the selection of programs was poor...
Bathroom was satisfactory and wifi very speedy(!).
Tianan Rega hotel is a good choice to stay in this huge city. The most important reason is location.

Nice hotel Jun 22, 2015
The hotel located at the small alley way of the main street in Wang Fu jing area which is handy if you want to do shopping in Beijing since so many shopping centres at the areas.
However I found it was very difficult to find shop which sell mineral water bottle since I could not find any supermarket at the area. It was quite expensive to purchase water bottle from the hotel.
Plenty of restaurants nearby from budget to the most expensive – depending for your budget, so you would not starve to death if stay here. The metro or train station is not too far from the hotel so it is quite handy.
The hotel itself has onsite restaurant specialist in Peking duck which I regret as I did not dine there and they offer special discount for hotel guest. There is a lobby for guest to relax or meet up with a friend.
When we arrive the reception was courtesy and speak English well, the check in was fast and efficient. We managed to change foreign currencies to local Chinese money at the hotel with reasonable rate, since we run out of local money.
Our room located at the highest floor with a view, unfortunately it was on the small side and not much space to move around. The double bed was comfortable and there is one arm chair which place annoyingly next to the bed so it is difficult to move around without hitting it, especially at night time when I want to go to toilet. The desk was handy to put my staff and make up there, and the flat screen television has many channels and work well (I checked for the shake of the review), free tea and coffee in the room, and a cupboard to hang clothing.
I like the bathroom which look modern and clean with dispenser soap and shampoo inside the shower glass and additional soap and body lotion at the sink, including cotton buds, comb, etc. The hot and cold water work well with good pressure, and there were bathmat available hanging at the door.
I did not see any guests during my short stay there and it was very quiet at night time, and no banging door either.
I pre booked taxi from the hotel for early morning departure to airport and the taxi service was handy. It was waiting at the lobby at 4.30am and the reception ring the room notify me that the taxi was downstairs. The room price come up with breakfast, unfortunately I check out too early without breakfast so can not comment on it.
Overall, it was an okay stay. I probably prefer a bigger room than the one I have at this hotel.
