Hockey Experience Apr 05, 2009

My first time at a hockey game was a great one, thanks to the Atlanta Thrashers and Phillip's Arena. The event was well organized, complete with prizes, music, and big-screen entertainment. Food and drinks on-site are costly; however, there are plenty of places around the arena with better prices.

I took my siblings and we saw the Ottawa Senators play Atlanta's Thrashers... and we thrashed them :). It was fun, even though since it was my first game I didn't know that there are three periods in a hockey game! ha so we got up and started to leave after the second and then had to sneak back to our seats, acting like we ALL went on a bathroom break.

The show was complete with cheerleaders and prizes thrown from the rafters... an experience fun and not bad at all.

We did catch an Atlanta Thrashers hockey game, which was fun. We strolled through Olympic Park - Atlanta was the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics. There is a fountain in the center by the 5 rings that shoots bursts of water out randomly. It was a hot day, so there… Exploring the Atlanta area
