A small added part of the Yosemite Mt. Sugar Pine Railroad site May 03, 2011
This small museum is located next to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and recounts the history of the area, including both the lumbering and railroad industries that thrived here in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Along with that they have photos of early times in the Yosemite area when people first started coming to the area. Also on display are early tools used to including an early wood stove, and implements used for cooking. Agricultural tools, saws, and other items used in construction are also displayed. I was amazed to see how many items were crammed into this small building. And they also had a few small items, such as postcards, and a few children’s items for sale. This museum is free and you can spend as much time as you like.
