Thomas Avenue Beverage Co. Reviews

May 22, 2007
A sincere little spot in the middle of Uptown Dallas called TABC by those in the know. (TABC is also an acronym for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, the bane of the existence of anyone trying to sneak a swig before the good ol' twenty-first birthday.) It has pub-ish feel with a lovely back patio for sunny days and a well-stocked bar for casual nights. Not hard to imagine a drinking chant or two getting started during a rowdy game of pool.

The food was better than I'd expected. There's a little bit of everything: pizza, pasta, sandwiches, even some Asian and Mexican flavors. I went for a smoked salmon salad, which was quite delicious. Most everyone else I was with had sandwiches that looked equally delightful. I say: go with friends. Eat food. Grab a beer. Have fun.
