Thien Duyet Restaurant Nha Trang Reviews

This restaurant located in front of “Chua Long Son” temple and is part of the temple, as several monks work in this restaurant and the restaurant only serves vegetarian meals to guest.
It is not our choice to have lunch here, however we are waiting for the temple to open it is door and we could not find other restaurant nearby after walking around a bit, so we decide to try this vegetarian meal and we think it will help the temple income as well. There are a lot of local people having steam boat lunch here.
Unfortunately, nobody speak English here, one boy can speak a bit like yes and thank you and take our order which luckily they have menu in English/Vietnamese language.
We order lotus salad – presentation looks really nice and attractive with plenty of peanuts on top, but when we try, taste very strange to our tongue as we never try anything like this before. We could taste the cotton come from the lotus slices and it is a bit sour.
The spicy mock pork was really spicy for us and it did not taste like pork at all. It taste very flourly and not good. The sweat sour mock chicken was better, still could not taste the chicken, but at least this is more edible and softer.
Overall, it is good experience but probably we wouldn’t order the same food twice. Might be we should follow the local people, order steam boat for lunch.
