Because we were with teachers before we spreaded all over Thessaloniki we visited Zejtinlik cemetery, situated few km from centre of Thessaloniki, in the quarter called Zejtinlik ( zejtinlik is word from turkish language and means “the oil market” ) . Thessalonica displays diversity. And that is what makes it unique and really lovable to anyone that visits it! Its greek temperament is not pure in Thessalonica, its spoiled by balkan features that make it even more irresistable.
The long and endless walk near the sea is one of my favourite aspects of living there. The dissapointing truth is that the water is not 'swim-able' and definetely not clean! The beauty of it lies purely to its existence and only.
