The snake boat race

This is probably one of the most authentic sport event in the entire world. I used to listen to the live radio commentaries of this event during my childhood days. The commentators literally used to scream on air and I could never understand why were they going crazy.. until I decided to go and experience it myself. Believe me or not, this is a unique boat race event and you should come down here once. I wish the oraganizers does a better job providing facilities and security for spectators especially visitors to my home land. This is actually a show event though. It happens on the Second Saturday of August each year. There are some "real" race events happening around this time of the year.
