If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, head to the open air market off of Bulevardul Stefan Cel Mare just north of the principal shopping area. There are vendors that sell these tasty little fried pancakes stuffed with potato and onion, meat or cabbage for about 20 cents. To accompany it, buy a beverage from one of the vendors, but to be on the safe side, do not drink out of the communal glass, pay the extra Moldavian leu and buy a disposable cup. For about a dollar, it's a tasty lunch and take the time to shop the open air market, the prices are great and there are many cool and unusual things to find.
