The Yellow Submarine
The Yellow Submarine Reviews
Live Bands Are Universal Jul 19, 2007
The Yellow Submarine is a fresh venue offering live, eclectic music, a diverse, energetic crowd,and,-on the night that I visited-free admission and popsicles! Situated in an industrial park, it has an appropriately industrial feel. When you walk in, you are greeted by local artists hustling demos as well as political causes. There is an attractive bar, which, unfortunately, has very limited food items available. But, not to worry, across the street there is a market so you can satisfy the munchies prior to entering the club. The bands perform on a low-level stage in one area. I heard a mix of neo soul and rock-n-roll. There is, in addition, a gallery space with modern photos, drawings and paintings. In sum, how can one not recommend a venue where you may encounter native Ukranians, Israelis, Americans and Moroccans -each speaking a hodge podge of the various tongues? Exactly. Check it out!
