The Wormy Dog Oklahoma City Reviews
Jun 11, 2007
If you're in Oklahoma City and wanting to hear some uniquely-Oklahoma music and enjoy some cheap beer at the same time, then the Wormy Dog Saloon is the place for you.
Located in Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City, the Dog is the premier place for checking out the hottest red dirt country musicians and bands. It's also a great place to just hang out with friends and enjoy a night of good tunes, good drinks and pretty women.
They are located in one of the old brick-covered warehouses that make up what is known as "Bricktown," an OKC entertainment district. When you step inside, you know you're heading into an old-school country hangout. Complete with horse saddles serving as barstools, it's a place you don't have to dress up to enjoy. Just bring your jeans and be ready for music.
Speaking of the music, it's great. The bar has become a main stopping point for bands and musicians in the Red Dirt Country scene, hosting names such as Shooter Jennings, Dierks Bentley, No Justice, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Dwight Yoakam.
Coors Lights and Bud Lights are the way to go here, but they have a good variety of beer choices and a full bar, so you can buy that hot gal across the way a shot of Tequila if you so dare.
It's definitely a place worth checking out. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is -- which is a kickin' place to hang out and enjoy live music.
