A decent live music venue right in the heart of the city Dec 22, 2010
This is another Dublin live music venue with a nice atmosphere and plenty of good musicians drifting in and out regularly. There are club nights at the weekends, and separate bars upstairs and at the front to keep you going if you just want to drop in and catch the atmosphere. It's reopened recently, and while the live music part is small, it's also cheap and packs a punch way above its size in terms of drawing in bands that are well worth the effort. As the venue is small and relatively little-known around Dublin, the cost of getting in is also less than you might expect - typically in the 10-15 Euro range for a live concert.

The drinks here are good, too - fairly typically priced for Dublin, with a good Guinness on tap (that stuff's important!), and you're within easy stumbling distance of both Temple Bar and some other nice nightlife spots the other side of the river.
