The Wooden Monkey is every vegetarian's haven in the heart of Halifax. The Wooden Monkey focuses their menu on organic, macrobiotic, and locally grown fresh ingredients, many with a vegan option. I ate here just yesterday and my tastebuds exploded from ultimate satisfaction after the first bite. Not only is the food menu full of wholesome, organic, local dishes, the drink list has a wide range of organic and local pops, juices, teas, coffee, etc. The only downside to this resturant is that nothing jumps off the page and it takes quite a while to decide on what you would like to eat. All in all the Wooden Monkey is a definate winner. And it must be, The Rolling Stones ate here when the came to Halifax in 2006.
