Well, I can tell you, you will Love the South!

The South of Chile is a wonderful place to be, there is sooo many things to do and see.

When travelling from Santiago, first you'll see the south valleys, the vineyards, then you'll head to the woods. You cant miss Temuco (, Valdivia ( and Frutillar (, there are really nice cities, the food is awesome, the landscapes just take your breath away. Try to go up Villarica Volcano in Villarrica (

You must spend at least 2-3 days in Pucon (, there is a lot of activities going all 365 days a year there, there are special trips to the woods, lakes, rivers, mountains, volcanos and the landscape is awesome, probably one of the places you will never forget. It is more expensive than the rest of the places I've named so far.

Keep going south to Puerto Montt, (, you´ll already be at the Lake's District.

Something you just cant miss is the Chiloe Island (, you will feel as if you'd just landed in another world. You can take the Ferry from Puerto Montt. Chiloe is something I cant really describe, you gotta be there to understand go at least to the main cities: Castro and Ancud. The food is the best you'll try and probably the cheapest. Try to eat all seafood cooked, is safer.

Take warm clothes and outdoor shoes. A raincoat will be your best friend, with a good Camera.

Good luck!
