High tech animal exhibits Feb 11, 2014
The Wildlife Museum is in a southern Denver suburb. I stopped in to visit a temporary exhibit, but then toured the permanent "Globeology" exhibit. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was pretty cool.

The exhibits take you through 8 biomes of earth (animal habitats). There are displays of animals, with some of them animatronic - that is, they move! The exhibits are connected, so you start at the top in the rain forest and wander down along the path to the desert and the ocean. The biomes have sounds, like bird calls, animal noises, rain, etc. There are computers with interactive games and trivia. Some of the animated creatures are a little creepy, but overall, it is really neat.

The very end of the biome walk is a wall of aquariums with different tropical fish and sea life. The outside has a nice little walking path where you can visit a bunch of animal statues.

The musuem was $10 for adults and I only visited the two exhibits, so I don't know what else they have there. But the globeology exhibit was pretty cool. You can walk through it pretty quickly, or take your time and learn more. I just zipped through.
