Some darn good food Aug 09, 2008

The cafe is named after Oscar Wilde, the popular 19th Century playwright and is built in the taste of what Oscar Wilde would have liked. It is very hip with a trendy coffee counter with an excellent wait staff! The ambiance is leisurely and you feel that you can just sit there for hours, even if you are alone using the wi-fi on your laptop or with a large group of people like we were.

We were there for breakfast and I got the creme brulle french toast (I'm a sucker for GOOD french toast)... and this fit the bill perfectly!!!

By the way... here is a tip... if using a GPS unit it might not differentiate between the east and west side of Hennepin Avenue... as it did with us... and it took us to the West side rather than the East... The phone number the GPS gave me was right so we were able to call and get directions! So just be careful and make sure it's taking you to East Hennepin!

We met in the morning at Wilde Roast Cafe for brunch. I had a breakfast burro which was yummy. Mark played us a song on the piano. After, we went to Nicollet Island Pavilion and walked around the park. Then walked across a walking/biking bridge that spans… I missed the **actual** Meet-Up by a matter of hours
