Authentic Indonesian food Oct 02, 2009
The Warjok Asli is an authentic Indonesian café inside the Grand Indonesia Mall in Jakarta. I had not yet had authentic Indo food, so Asri suggested we try this place. There is seating inside, and also just outside in the mall walkway. We sat outside next to the windows where you could see out to the city.
Having not had Indonesian food before, Asri helped me choose my order. My order was called Nasi Campur, served on a banana leaf with rice and a sampling of different Indo foods, so I guess you might call it a sampler dish! It was very delicious! Asri had the Nasi Gudeg; which was rice, chicken, egg, and tofu. I also had the Es Shanghai = Shanghai Ice! Asri had her netbook with her and we were able to connect to the café’s wifi, which is always a plus! |

We eventually sat down at some tables outside the Warjok Asli, an Indonesian restaurant. I was in Indonesia , so I had to eat some Indo food!
