Cheap to Affordable Bar, Restaurant, Live Music or Comedy Place Sep 15, 2009
This venue has quite a bit going on, it's a bar, sorta club, restaurant, has live music and comedy nights.

The food was all right, the servers not esp. pushy or rude, and the comedy is fairly comical and free depending on what time you go. I went with a buddy, and the 2 hours comedy show was free with only one minimum drink. And the comedy show following it was also free with just one minimum. Very cheap entertainment!

UPDATE: free shot for those who attended the comedy show.

Also they've got an instant photo booth, $4 for a strip of 4 pics. The live cover band is very good, and responsive to the crowd.

The bar was neither divey nor hyper-stylish, just a cool hangout spot.

The Village Lantern is located in a very busy bar, restaurant area, you really can't go wrong by hanging out in this area or going to the Village Lantern.
