The Village Grille Green Bay Reviews
A Great Cafe' That's Almost a Secret Oct 14, 2010
This is a lovely little place (actually, not really too little!) for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner.
Featuring traditional American foods and some pastas, the menu is large enough offering some good choices in soups, sandwiches, and fish specials.
The quality and service were good, the atmosphere is pretty without being fancy, and the prices are mostly below $10.00.
Though the hours are early most night -- close at 9 or so, they actually have a great bar area that feels hidden from most of the restaurant. It's actually a great place to meet a date for a glass of wine or beer. The wine list is a little on the limited side but still has some decent selections -- and very cheap at $4.00 a glass. (that's about 1/3 of the price that Republic Chophouse charges).
Lunch portion was substantial. I ordered a ham sandwich. It came with fries, coleslaw and a pickle, more than I needed.
Tables are widely spaced so this is a popular place for a business lunch.
Decor is pleasant with very high ceiling, brown walls with red accents. Lovely!
Parking is a no-brainer. The restaurant is located in a nicely designed strip mall that is almost empty so there are about 200 parking spaces wide open nearby.
This was a great discovery for me.
