Offering a distinct environment, The View is almost always packed with locals and visitors. Decorated in shades of black, rust, red and silver, the main room also features two bars and a dance floor surrounded by oversized cushion leather seating. Let’s not forget the liquid ice system shooting from mid air just above the DJ booth, as well as 3 42in LCD screens in easy view to the secluded VIP rooms and dance floor.

Just off the main bar area, on the back side of the club is the Dark Room, a VIP haven secluded from the main club, separated by decorative walls with its own bar and cocoon-like private booths to offer the utmost privacy. If the inside is to HOT to handle…. That’s ok! Step outside to a huge patio with a full service bar, plenty of tables and seating to relax with your friends.

The View is very unique, for it combines both a low key and party environment. With San Antonio’s finest people, current hottest DJs and hundreds of your closest friends, there truly is no better place to be than The View!

This review is based off of three visits to this night club. I have gone once on a Friday and two times on a Saturday. The location is great, convenient to the medical area. On my first visit there seemed to be a shortage of bartenders, (2) and the place was not packed at the time. My second and third visit there were 3-4 bartenders, maybe one was a bar-back.
The restrooms need some work. There was a $10 cover charge for 21 & up, which seems a little high considering that its a "local bar" and most of the nicest places in San Antonio charge $5 if at all. As I mentioned, I thought that this place had just opened, however after meeting some of the promoters, staff, and reps of The View, they have been in business for about one year. As a consumer, my first thought was, "Did they just open?". After getting inside I walked around the place and took note of the setting and crowd. I arrived around 11:20, there wasn't much of a crowd. I did notice that it was much later when people started to arrive, closer to 1am. For the most part no many people danced. Every one was crowed around the bar, while there is plenty of space toward the back of the club. Just the flow of things in the club seemed a little off.

As mentioned, this place has potential, but there's something missing!
