The Turls Green Bradford Reviews
Good value for money in a local atmosphere! Feb 04, 2013
The Turls Green is located in the centre of Bradford, in Centenary Square, right opposite the Town Hall. Turls Green was the name of the area, which has since been taken over by the large Centenary Square.
Turls Green has a large outside seating area. There is a big screen in the square, where they play the news and other events that are on. The pubs outside area is a great place for viewing sporting events on the BBC.
Turls Green is an open-plan, two storey venue! Seating is small tables and chairs in some areas, and bar stools in others! Upstairs there are also sofas and a nice fire place! To me the interior looked more like a cafe than a pub and it needs a face lift, but the atmosphere was good. The staff was nice and helpful too.
The pub serves a variety of beers, red, white, rose and sparkling wine and stronger licors. On the menu you'll find typical pub food, as well as burgers, sandwiches, salads, noodles and pasta. They also serve breakfast! This pretty much covers it all. I ordered a Mexican Gourmet burger. To my surprise it included a pint of a Danish beer (Carlsberg, Tuborg or Kronenbourg). All this for only £6,69. Other offers like 2 meals for £6,49 or 3 bottles of beer for £5 were great deals too. My burger was served promptly. It was a chicken breast with cheese, salsa, guacamole and jalapeños. Chips and onion rings were served on the side.
The pub caters for mixed ages. There were families with children, young people and older couples there. At night there is loud music, which is geared up for the younger end.
If you are in Bradford, give Turls Green a try! Prices were cheap, portions were large and the food was good!
