The Treasure Hunter Reviews

Feb 04, 2007

As backpackers, we were prepared to sleep on the beach, however, we found much better accomodations in Sandy Bay right across from Rick's American Cafe for just the right price: FREE with the cost of an Open Water Diving Class! Perfect!! We came to learn how to dive, found the cheapest place, and met the owner who just happened to be a generous Christian man named Wolfgang who wanted to help some lovely poor teachers out!:)

We were upgraded to some wooden cabins, and we had our own bathrooms and showers as well as hammocks on our private deck! JWe also had our own beach!!We were provided with free breakfast and free dinner for 6 days! One of the days we were given amazing wood/oven pizza! We paid $180.00 for our dive class, which was the cheapest by far on the beach.

A beautiful view from our deck!

Sad news for those who desire to have the cheap stay at the Treasure Hunter... David, the British guy who has taken over the operation, lost his boat and dock, etc. to Hurricane Wilma:(
