This place deserves top reviews. I was sad to leave.

Location: perfect for exploring whatever part of Dublin you want. Nightlife is close (and in abundance), and Tesco's is less than 5 minutes walk. Buses are just around the corner (to get around city, and to airport).

Room: spacious, clean, comfortable, with good under-bed lockers. The ensuite was also spacious, clean, and lovely.

Kitchen / common area: great facilities, spacious, and comfy. Loved having pancakes on the weekend!

There were posters around for a Hostel pub crawl, and I'm so pleased I went on this! Had an incredible night (the best one of my trip).

Reception: Lovely staff, really helpful and friendly.

Dublin has so much to see and do, and the Times is fantastic - I recommend to stay at least a week if you can.

Great time at The Times Hostel! Apr 17, 2011
Two friends and I went to Dublin for a weekend in late February 2011. We picked The Times Hostel for two reasons - it was cheap and had amazing reviews. For Friday, Saturday, Sunday night, we stayed in the 3 bed private with an en-suite bathroom and our total cost was $240 USD...so $80 a piece. Our room was spacious, clean and worked for us perfectly! The location of the hostel is PERFECT. It's just a few steps from Temple Bar, right across the street from Trinity College and in the center of everything. Hostel staff was very friendly and gave us great tips on where to go, what to do, etc. Overall, we loved our stay here and will definitely stay here again if/when we return to Dublin!

Mar and I researched so many train and bus day tours from Dublin prior to our departure for Europe. We finally decided to jump on the 1 Day Giants Causeway & Derry from Dublin offered by Paddywag…time frame for our stay in Ireland. Mar was so smart to pick a hostel that was not only close to the Busarus but also close to Paddys Palace Dublin
