The Swilcan Restaurant Saint Andrews Reviews
Pricy but a nice place to relax after a game May 29, 2011
I had been out playing a round of golf with my good friend David on St. Andrews Jubilee course in the craziest wind that I ever had played in. After the game we have always had a tradition of having a couple of beer in the club house if it is possible. We had teed out around noon so the club house restaurant was still open.
The Swilcan Restaurant was named after the Swilcan Bridge which is almost an Icon in golf. The bridge is situated on the course and it goes hundreds of years back. The restaurant is quite large and there are about 5 people serving all the tables.
There are two level of dining in the restaurant and we took the most basic one, because we just went for some Caesar Salads and so beers and both were actually quite good. The bar was a bit pricy but that is no surprise on a place like this.
