A Carpinteria tradition Sep 17, 2009
This place opened up way back in 1914 and has been popular ever since. My Mother ate here when she was a youngster growing up in Carpinteria.

I was introdued to The Spot at a very young age, while growing up in Ventura. This was my first visit back since probably the mid 1980s and it was still as good as it ever was.

The menu is basically burgers, fries, and milkshakes. The burgers have always been tasty, the fries hot and crisp, and the milkshakes yummy! They do have other items, such as mexican, hot dogs, and sandwiches but I have not tried any of that.

The Spot is perfect for a day at the beach because it is about a 5 minute walk from Carpinteria State Beach. There is parking on the street and also in the lot at the Amtrak station.

The Spot a good place for a hot, good, and consistent meal. You don't stay open for nearly a hundred years by serving junk....
