The Small Chiang Mai

Arrival:

It was a 120 baht taxi from the airport. The taxi itself was 70, but there is a 50 airport fee.

The Hotel:

This was a very nice boutique hotel only minutes walk away from the night market and the flower market. We arrived here and wanted to spend the evening in the amazing red pool we seen so many pictures of. When we arrived we found the pool was not the massive pool it showed in the pictures, but a 4'x6' bathtub with no patio surrounding it. The photo's we seen showed a large pool with about 20 spaced out people swimming. You couldn't fit 6 people in this pool without packing them in.

The Room:

The room was nice with a large wall paper picture on one wall and a very nice bathroom with a waterfall shower. The weird thing was the patio was through the shower. As usual of Thailand the bed sucked and was one step better than sleeping on rocks.

Service:

Two dealings with staff, two not so good outcomes.

1. We booked "Flight of the Gibbons" zip line tour, but the lady at the front desk who booked it booked the wrong one. Luckily I caught it and argued with her until she rebooked the correct one.

2. We asked for the front desk to get us a taxi since we had more bags than a tuktuk could handle. She said no. She offered us a ride from the hotel car at 500 baht to the airport. We tried asking her for a taxi number so we could call, she refused to help. I say she, but it was a ladyboy. A very stupid ladyboy.
