I just got here today and I'd have to say that this is probably one of the best hostels Ive been to. It's a 4 storey high building with complete ameneties. Free computer use, and it even has a pool! Breakfast is at 1USD if youre staying in an 8USD dorm room. Yes, it may be a bit expensive for Cambodian accomodations (hostels) but it sure is worth the price. Just great, I'd highly recommend this place!

Available room rates:

Dorm rooms - 8USD/head/night the bunk beds are solid so there's no worry about noticing someone wiggling around on the bunk bed. Each bed is provided with a personal reading lamp and a lockable storage area.

Private rooms - Private Room $45 per night (Max 3 people), $30 per night (Max 2 people). These rooms have all the same features of the dorm rooms plus a TV.

Then took a 'moto' to my hostel, The Siem Reap Hostel for 2USD and decided to Hire him as well for this afternoon's sunset trip to Ankor Wat and for the whole day tomorrow. This little town of only 90,000 people may well be the most profitable of all the Cambodian… Siem Reap is Uncle Sam's hideaway!

…was out somewhere in siem reap because i figured my four friends with me weren't in any shape to bring me back to the hostel because seriously, they just looked so high and happy and were smiling at everything i said. (even their supposedly concerned "are you okay??" was said with a smile and a dazed look!) so i scrolled down my phone list and i couldn't help… Where is the happiness in Cambodia?

…some rest, especially me who's feeling like some temple warrior already, so we asked the driver if we could go back to the hostel for a while and then come back again in the afternoon. He agreed but I was so disappointed when we got back to the hostel and he said that we can't go back anymore and even wanted more pay. Being some stingy… Siem Reap should really be thankful they have Angkor Wat

After a great night's sleep, we get up early, have breakfast at the hostel (which is quite dear, and they put everything on a tab, so at the end you pay for it, hmm, might get stung here!), then our matey tuk-tuk driver picks us up from the hostel at 9 (ish). We drive through Siem Reap… Temple trekking

Er was eerst met de chaufeur afgesproken om 5 uur om de zondsopgang te zien, maar dat heb ik naar 8uur verzet zodat ik in het hostel kon ontbijten en minder geld moest opdoen :) De boottocht duurde 2 uur en koste 20 dollar. Schandalig veel vind ik dat, maar ze wilden nix van de prijs af doen en ik had eigenlijk ook niet anders verwacht. De tuk tuk rit naar de "haven… Angkor beer and pizza :)
