The Shwe Hin Tha Resort Hotel, Ngwe Saung Beach - Myanmar Chaungtha Reviews
A little piece of heaven Dec 12, 2013
We got stuck in this place, but in a good way, we just could leave. Ended up staying there 10 days.
There are lots of hotels and resorts along the beach, this one of the cheaper ones. 20 $ for a bamboo bungalow and 35 for a bigger room.
The bungalows was fine, a bit moldy and dark, not electricity the whole day. The bathroom was sort of clean, but lots of bugs. During our time at Shwe Hinn Tha we had spiders, bats, ants, cockroaches other bugs in our room, mostly in the bathroom. The bead was comfortable. Other than that is was ok. Each bungalow have a little porch with a hammock and a drying rack. There is table and chairs.
The resort was right at the beach about 50 minuts walk on the beach from the village, it's close to the Love island. You can rent motorbikes or you can get someone to drive you to the village. When we were there didn't have any bisiklet for hire.
There is no internet, you have to go to a big resort or to the village.

The staff here was so nice always smiling and willing to help. They bring tea to your porch everyday.
They have a restaurant with really good seafood.
This is just such a perfect place to just have a relaxing time, sit on the beach and drink rom, no worries in the world.

Beach Bungalows in Myanmar Oct 18, 2006
The Shwe Hin Tha Resort
Hotel, Ngwe Saung
Beach - Myanmar
The Shwe Hin Tha Resort at Ngwe Saung Beach (near Chaungtha
Beach and Pathein in Western Myanmar) has a great little set of two types of
bungalows right on the beach. The more
expensive ($20-25/night) are stucco duplex buildings with Mosquito Net and
semi-private balcony/sitting areas that are 50’ from the water’s edge. The rooms are simple but comfy and the
bathrooms are bright and pretty clean.
The less expensive bamboo bungalows are set back a bit off the beach but
nice too with little patio’s and an open air bathroom. The staff are great here – breakfast is
included and two girls come by each morning to take your order and deliver you
breakfast on your patio. They also have
an OK restaurant for lunch and dinner and will deliver food (and of course,
beer) to your bungalow along with mosquito coils, candles and hot water for
tea. There is only electricity from
about 6:00pm – 11:00pm so you might as well get up early and enjoy the
beach. The water is really nice and
clean and warm and you can walk to Lover’s Island in 10 minutes or to Ngwe Saung
Village in about 45
minutes. Multi day discounts are
