The Shout House Minneapolis Reviews
Dueling Pianos at the Shout House Jun 06, 2011
The Shout House has locations in San Diego, Glendale, and Minneapolis. During our quick visit to Minneapolis we came here for drinks after our TravBuddy meetup dinner. The Minneapolis Shout House is located downtown.
This was my second "dueling pianos bar" I've been to (the first was at Howl at the Moon in KC). Dueling Pianos are two piano players/singers performing at two, face to face grand pianos in front of two large mirrors performing the classic rock 'n roll hits from the 1950s to the present. It's request driven by the audience and with the use of multiple teams, goes non-stop all night. The Shout House was voted best bar in 2010 by the "Downtown Journal". We were here during midweek, so things were a little slow. But the piano players (they also played the drums and guitar) were on top of their game. Our waiter was pleasant and they made all of us older people feel young as soon as we come in because they card everyone at the door! They do serve food, but we were here just for the drinks. Their menu consists of burgers, pizzas, salads & appetizers.
When these bars are full of people it can get really crazy. If you haven't been to one, make plans to do so!
