Isle of Handa, United Kingdom
The Shorehouse Isle of Handa Reviews
The Shorehouse Jul 29, 2010
The Shorehouse is a fish restaurant in Tarbet, facing Handa Island. It also sells ice cream. The location is excellent, with beautiful views over the sea to the islands beyond. All the fish is as local as possible, and where possible caught within sight of the restaurant. We had smoked mussels and they were lovely. In common with many of the nice restaurants in the area, the nice food is coupled with a relaxed attitude to what you wear, so you can feel comfortable coming in wearing your rain coat and the slightly muddy trousers you were wearing around the nature reserve.
There is a little outdoor terrace too.
The Shorehouse is not very expensive, either, although dearer than some pubs.
