The Sebel Deep Blue Warrnambool Reviews
Hotel close to beach but lacking character Jan 18, 2010
Arrived at this hotel expecting semi luxury retreat on the Great Ocean Road but was met by affrontive staff who nearly declined our booking because we did not have our booking voucher printed out, despite an email from the airline to the hotel telling them there had been a problem printing it. Met with, "it's policy that we must have paper copy answer" etc etc.
The hotel has another hotel and car park slap bang between it and the beach so you are left wondering whether you should have booked the place next door!
On the other hand the rooms were very clean but the service left much to be desired. On departure we asked for a full receipt and were told because it was a voucher booking we couldn't have one. We then commented on the fact that every time we had asked for something we had been told it couldn't be done rather than trying to help at all. The response to this was a teenage shrug and "what do you want me to do about it?". Not somewhere I would recommend.
