The Sands Nai Harn-a Mangosteen Managed Boutique Resort Phuket

I stayed here in April 2003 and wow was I impressed. I went with my boyfriend and his work associates, this place is excellent for a group! Each couple got their own seperate villa with gorgeous outdoor bath area. The hammocks outside the villas are relaxing with breath taking views of the ocean. The resort was clean and beautiful. The pool is very nice with a gorgeous never ending edge overlooking the ocean. The food was great with a good selection of American cuisine for the non-adventurous eater. They also offered some traditional Thai dishes and the drinks were up to par as well. The spa offered a calming couples massage followed by an envigorating cup of Thai tea. The view from the massage room offered stimulation for the eyes while your body relaxed. The gym had state of the art equipment although it was a little small. However I was up at 6am to workout so it was not crowded at all. It was a short ride to the beach and the front desk offered a ride into the shopping areas every 30 minutes. They also provided us with a great guided tour through a rain forest-like area to some natural pools and elephant rides. I was very impressed with this resort, I would definitely stay here again.
