In the corner of the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border The Royal Arms can be found in the small village of Sutton Cheney. It's a good location for people venturing to Bosworth Battlefields or Mallory Pack Race track. Because of this the hotel/restaurant/pub always has a steady flow of patrons.

After a sunny evening drive we decided to have some food. The restaurant is large and open with a high ceiling and exposed beams while the pub, a complete contrast, with a low ceiling and full of battlefield memorabilia with a nice homely feel.

We had a drink in the bar while our table was prepared by a very attentive waitress. The food was ordered, I had Tuna steak with lemongrass couscous and tomato and olive salsa and Catherine had a Mediterranean Mezze. Both were generous portions and the food was excellent.

Despite wanting a desert, with a large Chocolate Fountain teasing us in the corner, the clean plates left us both too full.

Will defiantly be visiting The Royal Arms again, probably for Sunday Lunch.
