Historic Part of Sydney Oct 31, 2009
You can find anything you need as a tourist in this area: restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, markets, music...

It is a great area mixing well the past and the present. It also offers a great view on the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera on the other side.

It is an important place as it is the birthplace of modern Australia, where Captain Arthur Phillip settled in 1788.

…a lovely walk - although l had a little freak out attack when Paul decided to take me along a cliff edge with a sheer drop onto rocks and the ocean! We eventually got to Bondi after passing the cemetry. It was straight back to the hotel and then down to Circular Quay to our restaurant to watch the evenings festivities! The wine we received was nice but not amazing and the sparkling… Sydney over New Year's

Our destination today is the rocks, which isn't the bottom of a whiskey glass but an area of Sydney thats been recently renovated to house galleries, cafes and other bohemian places. First we stopped by the Harbor Bridge and Opera House, trying to get some more and hopefully better… The Rocks and the Christmas market. By John.
