Rockin' Good place to be May 28, 2011
“What makes a great market? If it’s about passionate people selling things you want to buy in a pretty cool location then The Rocks Markets is one of Sydney’s greatest.”

I loved this statement. It was taken from the website dedicated to the various markets in this part of the city. I enjoyed it and would recommend that everyone take a minute to just stroll through and find some good food and some great treasures. You can see all that is available on the site as well. Let me just say that this great ways to stroll, eat and shop with no worries. Most of the stands only accept cash so come prepared. The variety of things you can find range from souvenir key chains to some really good roasted corn on the cob. The foodies markets are on Fridays from 10am-4pm and the weekend markets on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5pm. Take a few hours to just take it all in. We enjoyed Turkish pizzas, local honey, cupcakes and some type of Japanese food. Postcards, handcrafted key chains, blown glass and books all made it back in my luggage. It is a good time, try it.

Historic Part of Sydney Oct 31, 2009
You can find anything you need as a tourist in this area: restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, markets, music...

It is a great area mixing well the past and the present. It also offers a great view on the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera on the other side.

It is an important place as it is the birthplace of modern Australia, where Captain Arthur Phillip settled in 1788.
