The Residences at La Vista Cabo San Lucas Reviews

Private villas in the hills over Cabo San Lucas, but still central Aug 27, 2017
The Residences at La Vista are in the Pedregal neighborhood of Cabo. Access to downtown Cabo and Marina are excellent. There is an elevator and ca. 25 steps that connect you to the street level/bottom of the hill, or a short ride on a golf cart down a very steep switchback road. FUN!! Our airport shuttle did not want to drive up.

We paid roughly $232 per night although they advertise everywhere for $300. We booked on booking.com and I assume received a discount there for early booking.

Well, we received a fully stocked apartment/villa for this. We were in the smallest category room JUNIOR TWO BEDROOM VILLA which was roughly 2200 sq ft big. We had:

- 2 roomy bedrooms with king size beds and private bathrooms

- 2 1/2 bathrooms total

- a laundry room with washer and dryer

- an open floor plan kitchen, dining room, living room area

- free Wi-Fi which was excellent. We were even able to stream Netflix on our devices and Fire stick.

- balcony with spectacular views over Cabo and a PRIVATE DIPPING POOL. This was easily my favorite feature.

The staff was present from 6:00am to 10:00pm due to this being a timeshare property. That being said, nobody was pressuring us to invest in the property. ZERO pressure.

We had the best luck of staying here during a tropical storm that hit Cabo really hard. The staff did everything they could to keep us comfortable and fed. Our booking had only included breakfast, but on the 2 1/2 days that we were pretty much stuck inside they provided us with breakfast, lunch and dinner in our room.

The restaurant is from 8:00am to noon for breakfast and until 3:00pm for lunch.

During the storm the only thing that was shut down were the elevators. It got uncomfortable due to the rattling windows and water coming in at some points, but they held up and with a couple of extra towels we kept the water from coming in.

We did not lose power. There were generators in place. People in Riu resorts by the beach were not as lucky.

Overall the place seemed deserted the whole time we were staying there. We had minimal contact with other residents and guests.

We had the big pool to ourselves every time which was great, because the toddler could roam freely.

It took us less than 10 minutes to get to the marina, and great restaurants are close by as well.

The hotel also offers a fitness center with the usual treatmill, etc, and also weights.

On request they make dining reservations, private shuttle service which we ended up taking back to the airport for $100. They book spa treatments and excursions. We also could have ordered for them to stock our fridge and pantry for us, but we opted for the little bodega down the hill.

Unless you like that beachfront, shut off from the country, all inclusive experience, I can only recommend this place for your fancy stay in Cabo.

I mean, I said it would fit 4 adults. I figured we'd get to queen beds in one room. We were pleasantly surprised.
