Very good for free! Nov 15, 2011
Although this place was a hospital, it now serves as a museum for free and is not far from the city centre. The El Grecos on display here are rather extensive, and they were a first for me. The main artists I have heard of before were on display here too, namely Goya and Ribera. Apart from the paintings, there was a huge range of tapestries and carpets on display too as well as collections that related to archaeological finds and ceramics. I thought this was a rather decent place to visit for free, and if in Toledo, I think it’s well worth a quick visit.
