The Radha Ashok Mathura Reviews
sterile enviroment for a hotel in freakin' india Jun 30, 2009
My memories from this hotel are fairly bad, but let’s try to be nice to be objective. IF I ever go back to Mathura (and there’s plenty of reasons why including interesting temples and chaotic festivals) I will be looking for a different hotel to stay in.
Staff was attentive, but was also ANNOYING. They did keep the mini fridge well stocked with food and drinks, but they did charge for water, which is not very classy!
The restaurant had interesting people hanging out, and this place did create a good social environment to hang out in, which I appreciated, and they took care to make sure we got to meet all the other foreigners staying in the hotel.
The bad: This place was boring, TV didn't work, nothing in the area, and they discourage you literally from leaving the hotel by having a huge guy with a machinegun questioning your intentions.
They also complained about me being to messy. The room was very hot, the shower cold, and no good way to sleep. The hotel workers also lived there camped out in this auditorium type room, kind of creepy.
The internet and phones did not work, and they still charged me for it, which made me sad :(
I got phone poisoning characterized by hallucinating! Some could say this is good, but not good when on business :(
Finally there was a pigeon living outside my room and there was a monkey always throwing feces at it!
