The Ponies of Saratoga Saratoga Springs Reviews
The Ponies of Saratoga Jun 02, 2010
Saratoga is very well known for its historic horse racing track. In 2007 the Saratoga County Arts Council decided to do something as a fund raiser that involved making several slightly larger than life horses, have several artists paint them in unusual ways and then auction them off. All together there were more than thirty. The idea went over very well and the Arts Council made a nice profit. The finished horses were moved to various places around the area. Unfortunately, they did not keep track of where they were relocated to. When we went through Saratoga we only were able to locate just a few of the horses, even after stopping at the City Hall, Chamber of Commerce and the Arts Council. The ones we found were all very nice and fun to see, whether inside the City Hall, along the main street, or in front of a few businesses.
