The Plaza Kansas City Reviews
Elegant, aesthetic, stunning Aug 17, 2013
The Plaza area in Kansas City is definitively one of the most worthy places to visit in this gorgeous town.
We went there to admire its many fountains that go from some the size and beauty of which you would see in Versailles to tiny little ones right down many corners of the neighborhood.
This is also a superb area for shopping and fine dining and home to many world renowned hotels, like Intercontinental.
The reason I classified this as "free" is because you don't have to pay anything if you just wanna be walking around taking pictures (like we did), but you could spend hells of a lot of money if you will, of course.
Down by the river they have gondolas like in Venice. There's also a lot of Mexican and Spanish influence in its architecture. The many flowers in the streets reminded me of when I was in Trento. I can say Kansas City is by far the city that I have felt with a more "European" accent in the United States, and that's just from "The Plaza" alone.
Super worth a visit.
